Abstract (EN)

This research is about examining the effect of 10 weeks 30 meters of speed and complex training on high-intensity running and sprint activity profile of athletes playing football professionally. A team's 20 players who play football in Balıkesir sports team participated in the research. The participants of the research were divided into two groups as experimental group (n=10) and control group (n=10) by simple random sampling method. An extra 30 meters of speed and complex training was applied to the athletes in the experimental group, one day in a week except for the standard football training of their teams. After the pre-test data of the experimental and control groups were taken in the 1st week, 3 measurements were totally taken as the intermediate measurement at the 5th week and the final measurement at the 10th week. The data was obtained with the help of Polar Team Pro device based on the global positioning system (GPS). The data received from the device was first transferred to the computer and then transferred to the SPSS 25 package program. Repeated measures variance (Repeated Measures ANOVA) analysis was utilised to analyze the data. Bonfferoni post hoc test was used to examine from which group the differences occurred. As a result, the experimental group, which was applied 30 meters of speed and complex training, showed a significant difference in the high-tempo running activity profile (19,8-25,1 km/h) compared to the control group (p<0.05) but in sprint running activity profile (>25,1 km/h) did not show a significant difference compared to the control group (p>0.05). When the difference between the experimental group and the control group in the high-tempo running activity profile is examined; while the average of the experimental group increased gradually in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd measurements, the control group did not increase. When the sprint running activity profile was examined, a graph was increasingly observed in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd measurements in both the control and experimental groups. However, this increase did not make a difference as it was seen in both groups.
