Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out as a defining study to determine the views of health care providers on the teamwork. The universe of this survey consists of the health care providers (N=924) who work in the Adana Numune Education and Research Hospital. Determining target sampling rate is at least %20; total number of the health care providers involved in this sampling is 248. Data collector tools are created by literature survey, the demographic characteristics of the health care providers who expressed their opinions about the statements, where the question is composed. The average age of the health care providers attending the study is 35,5±8,6. %19,2 of the physicians, %13,1 of the nurses and the %26,2 of the others have known correctly the description of `health team?. As a reply for the question of whom `health team? should consist of, we could see that %99 of physicians expressed as 'physician'; %98,1 of nurses and all of them composed the others group. %97 of the physicians, all of the nurses and %71,4 of the others group expressed as 'nurse'. %73,7 of the physicians, %73,8 of the nurses and %50,0 of the others group during basic training, %59,6 of the physician, %44,9 of the nurses and %38,1 of the others group expressed that they have specially trained about health team after the graduation (p= 0,028). When they were asked about what the prominent features of their working units were, two statements took place: For the statement `Group dynamics will be felt, seen and heard?, %6,1 of the physicians and %15 of the nurses noted that `always?. For the second statement `The basic rules are obviously defined in the group?, %5,1 of the physicians and %22,4 of the nurses noted that `always?. When the participants were asked what the negative factors were within team work??, %42,4 of the physicians and %44,9 of the nurses declared that it was only because of existing weak team soul. %58,6 of the physicians and %72 of the nurses explained this negative factor as `non-existing institutional support?.The result of the research show that the health care providers are aware of the importance of the teamwork but there is not any certainty in the team activities that are based on the cooperation. In accordance with the diagnosis through the study, some suggestions have eventually been improved.
