Abstract (EN)

Although Shah Tahmasb and his era hold a significant place in Iranian history, they remain insufficiently researched. There is a dearth of comprehensive studies addressing this subject. This study aims to shed light on the reign of Shah Tahmasb, a pivotal period in the Safavid State's history. The research delves into the profound impact of economic, political, social, religious, and cultural changes that transpired during Shah Tahmasb's rule, both within the Safavid State and its neighboring regions. Approaching this investigation, primary sources, secondary sources, and objectively examined archival documents serve as the guiding lights. The research has been meticulously organized into main and subheadings that aptly align with the study's central theme. The introductory section of the research lays out the genesis and evolution of the Safavid Empire. The initial segment delves into Shah Tahmasb's ascension to the throne and his domestic policies. Subsequently, the foreign policy of Shah Tahmasb takes center stage in the second section. The third part of the study scrutinizes the administrative structure of the Shah Tahmasb era. Concluding the study, the final chapter places a spotlight on the personality traits that defined Shah Tahmasb. [Note: Without more context, it's challenging to refine the text further.
