Sahn-i Seman Madrasahs and education system

Sahn-ı Semân Madrasahs had an important place in the Ottoman education system. This importance has arisen from the assimilation of educational and cultural activities that have been put forward since the birth of Islam and building on them. In our study, the development process and applications from the birth of the first madrasahs to the period of Fatih Sultan Mehmed are briefly mentioned. In addition to this, its effects on both the period of Fatih Sultan Mehmed and the following periods are also emphasized. In addition, the life, education, teachers, and other units of Fatih Sultan Mehmed, who are of great great importance for our research, are mentioned. Then, the foundation, physical structure, social structure, administrative structure, functioning, professors, students, courses taught, education programs, methods, language, mentality and contributions to social life of the Sahn-ı Semân Madrasahs, which we want to focus on, were investigated.
