The research has resulted with 320 volunteers that woman 161, man 159.There were three groups of smoke constantly (no have experience of smoking cessation), experiences with intermittent smokers and non smokers. The participants were asked to complete a questionnaire including a demographic form, "The Fagerström Test for Nicotine Dependence", "The Mindful Attention Awareness Scale", "The Metacognition Questionnaire 30" and "The Anxiety Sensitivity Index". The differences between groups were examined by t-test and variance analysis; the significance level was taken .05. The results show that; although there was no difference in anxiety sensitivity among the groups as a result of the research; the positive belief subscale scores of the metacognition scale of the continuous smokers were higher than the non-smokers, but this diffirentiation is not statistically significant; and a significant difference between the scores obtained from the mindfulness scale of the participants who had never smoked, who had used intermittent cigarettes and who had used cigarettes continuously.
