Abstract (EN)
This thesis study consists of three main sections and conclusion section. The aim of the study is to reveal the effects of Mongol Invasion on the Hungarian Kingdom. For this reason, in the study, Mongol history, military structure and their expeditions to Europe are given in the first part. In the second part, Hungarian history, the conquest of Carpathian Basin, the Christianization of the Hungarians and the Golden Bull which was important for Hungarian internal affairs are discussed. Also, The Medieval European military structure during the Mongol Invasion period are revealed for better understanding the period, political structure of Europe are examined before and during the Mongol Invasion. In the third and last main chapter, the Battle of Móhi, its causes and results also the Mongol Withdraw with its reasons are studied. In the final chapter, which is the fourth chapter, the situation of the Hungarian Kingdom after the Mongol Invasion, the effects of the Battle of Móhi on the Hungarian Kingdom and the general effects of the Mongol Invasion on Europe are evaluated.
