Abstract (EN)
Throughout the history of humanity, which has been transferred to the present day, activities in the field of health have been carried out as a result of diseases caused by various reasons, and the accumulation in this field has reached the present day. Health is one of the most essential needs for living things to survive. In order to meet this need, we see that the techniques that have been applied since ancient times are still used in the same or improved form in the source work of this study. In this study, the diseases related to the organs within the framework of the digestive system, the ways of transmission of these diseases, the symptoms that occur in the person when they occur, the techniques applied to identify the disease, the methods applied during the treatment, the rules and precautions to be taken in order to be protected from the diseases mentioned in the work are mentioned. Thanks to this work of Dr Ali Rıfat, being aware of the methods used in the field of health in the XIX and XX centuries; The main purpose of the study is to contribute to the history of medicine, where there is a lack of literature in this field, and to contribute to today's healthcare professionals. The dictionary created while performing this study has also been prepared with the thought of benefiting researchers who will work in the field of health. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, brief information about the activities of the Turks from the old times to the Republic era is presented, in the second part the transcription of the work is given, and in the third part, the period in which the work is handled and the techniques used in the field today are compared.
