Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, titled Nature and Human In The Recent Stoic Philosophy Design, first of all, a perspective on the development of Stoic philosophy, which spanned a period of about five centu-ries, is presented in the historical process. Stoicism, which bases its philosophy on three main areas, namely logic, physics and morality, has an eclectic structure in its development within the history of philosophy. As a matter of fact, Stoic philosophy, which presents a logos-based universe design based on Heraclitus' roots in physics teachings, has taken Socrates, which sets out from the proposition of 'know thyself' in the happiness-based moral teaching, as a guide. The Cynic doctrine, shaped by the morals of Socrates, inspired the Stoics with its practical life wisdom advice on living in accordance with nature and world citizenship views. In the thesis, all these effects, which were the source of the birth of the Stoic philosophy, were examined in a chronolo-gical order. Then, after examining the foundations of Stoic philosophy, which was laid with Zeno, under the headings of Early and Middle Period Stoa, information about the fields of logic, physics and morality, which constitute the integral structure of Stoic philosophy, are given. All these topics covered in the thesis need to be explained in terms of the effects that shape the view of the Late Stoic philosophy to nature and human beings. As a matter of fact, Stoicism, which was born in the Ancient Greek world, moved to Rome with Seneca, Epictetos and Marcus Aurelius, the most important thinkers of the late Stoic philosophy. With the harmony of the Ancient Greek heritage and the action-based morality of Rome, the practical life wisdom of the Stoic philosophy was fully realized. So much so that the Stoic philosophy, which brought together three different characteristic names such as the famous orator Seneca, the slave Epıctetus and the emperor Marcus Aurelius, seems to have reached its moral ideals in the last period. Keywords: Stoic Philosophy, Late Stoic Philosophy, Nature, Human
