Effects of sport to civilization of deaf person

The aim of this research is to bring a light on which aspects the affect of sport on socialization of deaf students plays role.Being deaf and the socialization phase of these people appear as a vital issue to us nowadays. Because of this, at this research, the deaf people doing a sport and the other deaf ones who aren't doing a sport were compared according to their socialization degrees, and the affect of sport on the socialization of deaf people was examined. At the research, a number of students were joined at the survey: Afyon Karahisar İşitme Engelliler Primary School (n=30), Kütahya İşitme Engelliler Primary School (n=30) and Eskişehir Ahmet Yesevi İşitme Engelliler Primary School (n=40), the age of whom are between 10 and 17 and 47 of whom do a sport while 53 students do not, consisting of totally 100 student.Frequency with SPSS 17.0 for windows, crosstabulation and Ki-kare analysis paralel to ? =0.05 were applied to survey variations. According to the survey results, a meaningful statical difference between the socialization degrees of those deaf students doing a sport and not doing a sport was found out (p<0.05). Again, to the survey results, a meaningful statical difference between the degrees of socialization with sport of those deaf students doing a sport and not doing a sport was found out (p<0.05). According to the research results, sport could be used as an effective socialization tool in the socialization of deaf people.
