Magic Chest/Tales Called book of Kyrgyz tale (text and analysis)

The study is titled "Magic Chest/Tales Called Book of Kyrgyz Tale (Text and Analysis)" and consists of the transfer of the texts existing in the book to Turkish, genre sequencing of these texts and examination of the motif structures of them. This study has been carried out with the aim of introducing the Kyrgyz tales in Turkey by putting emphasis on "tales" from the oral culture elements of Kyrgyz and adding a new one to the studies carried out in this area. "Tales" from the folk narrations comprise the scope of the search, "Kyrgyz tales" comprises its limitedness, and the sample of it, they are the tale texts included in the tale book Named "Sırduu Sandık/Comoktor (Magic Chest/Tales). The research has been started by first transferring the tale texts of the book to Turkish of Turkey. Kyrgyz words were used in translation of the tales. In addition, literature review relating to the subject was made. "Historical Geography Finnish Method" from text based folklore theories was used in the study. The study of W. Eberhard-Pertev Naili Boratav and the study prepared by Antti Aarne-Stith Thompson were taken as a basis in the genre sequencing of the tales. The motif structures of the tales were researched according to the "Motif Index" prepared by Stith Thompson. In the end of the study, we determined that the Kyrgyz tales are very rich in terms of motifs and the genres of their tales have similarities with Turkish tale genres. Naturally we are happy to introduce in Turkey a small part of the most valuable tales of the Kyrgyz Turks who have many tales. Keywords: Kyrgyz Turks, Sırduu Chest, tale, motif, genre.
