Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine Characterization Of Pomological and Some Chemical Properties of The Growing Local and Standard Pomegranate Cultivars and Important Pomegranate Genotypes Grown in Sirnak Province. In this context, 1 pomegranate species (Hicaz) and 4 local pomegranate species (Ali Aga, Mala Haci, Pahizi and Radisu) were studied. In the study, Fruit weights ranged from 205.44-525.87g; Fruit heights ranged from 59.34-87.46 mm; Fruit diameters ranged from 70.81-79.26 mm; Fruit Volume sranged from 167.67-505.00 ml; Fruit juice amounts ranged from 26.20-155.67 ml; Fruit densities ranged from 1.01-1.28 gr/ml; 100 seed weights ranged from 36.98-61.81 g; calyx heights ranged from 16.34-18.54 mm and calyx diameters ranged from 14.90-19.79 mm and shape indices ranged from 0.84-0.91. In addition, Soluble solid contents (SSC) ranged from 15.90-18.20%; total acidity ranged from 52.80-123.75% and pH ranged from 3.57-3.96. Moreover, sub skin color, upper skin color, seed hardness, frui ttaste, seed color, upper fruit compartment, sub Fruit compartment, compartment number, compartment appearance, easiness in separating arils and fruit pulp weights of the cultivars were also determined.
