Abstract (EN)

In this study, computer generated numerical models for the numerical analysis of tunnels built on layered soils were examined with the PLAXIS program. In the thesis, besides the basic theoretical information required during tunnel construction, details and numerical analysis of soil types are included. In our study, first of all, information about the basic soil structure and types is given. Studies that clearly express tunnel formations and suitable conditions and tunneling methods supported by the literature are mentioned. In addition, numerical models that form the basis of our working principle are defined. Finally, we tried to summarize the applied or method studies on tunnel structures in the literature. Numerical analyzes aimed at determining the stratified soils in the tunnel construction examined within the scope of the study and the behavior patterns in terms of different determined factors were tried to be evaluated with the PLAXIS program. Within this principle, it is aimed to determine the behavioral effects of tunnels planned to be built in areas with different depths and structures with different foundation sizes, as well as different layered soils, on these factors. With the developing technological infrastructure, various computer programs are used in modeling and solution creation processes in terms of control and ease of application. With this field of use, fast and accurate results are achieved. Thus, it was tried to develop suggestions for future interventions.
