Terörist şiddetini medyalaştırmak: IŞID karşısında gazeteciler ve kaynakların stratejisi

Media and terrorism have been in the last decade a subject of many researches and they have been treated by many scholars. ISIS as a new version with digitalized terrorism if we can say has emerged new questions about media (TV in particular), terrorism and sources. This thesis aims to treat these questions, analyzing the theory of, strategies of sources which is about the relationship between the content producer (ISIS in this case) and the media (TV in our cases). By analyzing two of ISIS's videos in 3 of the international news corporations focusing on one them as cases we analyze the strategies of sources that ISIS used intentionally or not while preparing their content that went viral. We intend in this thesis to come out with a clear analysis and answers about how does "the strategies of sources" theory looks like today in ISIS audiovisual production age? What the TV news are broadcasting and what they are supposed to broadcast when they are in front of a terrorist audiovisual production, when they are between the duty of informing and the responsibility of respecting the viewers? What is the line between mediatizing terrorist violence and being simply a part meant to be affected by the strategies of sources theory?
