Abstract (EN)

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the hepatitis vaccination rate among 15-49 year old women in family physicians in Trabzon province center. Method: The sample of the study determined the population of 15-49 age group of 18 family physicians selected by simple random sampling method from 100 family medicine clinics connected to province center. This population was found as 17106. The sample to be representative of the main population was calculated by the sample selection formula in the groups known for the number of universes and it was determined as 375 people (power analysis proved that this sample is sufficient). The number of samples to be taken from each family physician was determined by simple random sampling method based on the layered sampling method. The data were collected by a questionnaire developed in the light of the literature. Data; SPSS for Windows 22.0 program, and numerical, percentage, mean, standard deviation were used as descriptive statistical methods in the analysis of the data. The relationship between group variables was tested by chi-square analysis. Findings: 157 (41.9%) of the women were married between the ages of 31-40, 164 (43.7%) graduated and over married, and 304 (81.1%) were married. Statistically significant differences were found between the age, education, economic status of the women and the presence of health personnel in the family, hepatitis knowledge levels and vaccination rates (p0,05). Conclusion: Hepatitis B vaccination rates were low even in the age groups with high hepatitis level and it was concluded that routine vaccination for women aged 15-49 is needed.
