Abstract (EN)

With the Tanzimat Period, movements of innovation started in the history of Turkish literature. This mobility increased with the introduction of new genres taken from the West and the effective use of press and media tools. With the use of modern printing press, periodicals such as newspapers and magazines began to be published within the borders of the Ottoman Empire. The printing and publishing movements, which continued and developed until the reign of Abdülhamit II, entered a controlled process during the reign of Abdülhamit II. With the declaration of Constitutional Monarchy II, a short period of freedom was established and many periodicals were published during this period. Resimli Roman Mecmuası is one of the periodicals published in this period. In this study, Resimli Roman Mecmuası, one of the sidelined periodicals of the Second Constitutional Monarchy period, is analyzed.The journal was published in "Matbaa-i Hayriyye ve Şürekası" in Cağaloğlu, Istanbul as five issues on March 1-July 1, 1325/March 14-July 14, 1909, with the note of "Faik Sabri Bey, the concessionaire and director". The study consists of three parts as well as the "Introduction", "Conclusion", "References" and "İndex" part. In the first chapter, the transition from primitive printing to modern printing and its arrival in the Ottoman Empire is explained, "Press and broadcasting movements in the Ottoman Empire", With the titles "First Printing Houses", "Newspapers" and " Journals", the development of the press movements until the Constitutional Monarchy II was explained and The history of Resimli Roman Mecmuası, which started its publishing activities in the Second Constitutional Monarchy, is analyzed. In the second part, the five issues of the journal, the date of publication of the issues are systematized and the literary works in it are transferred from Ottoman Turkish to Latin letters.In the third chapter, under the title of Resimli Roman Mecmuası, information is given about the formal features of the magazine, its author staff, and its purpose of publication and literary genres, advertisements and announcements are classified under headings.In this study, the content of the journal is analyzed by transferring the literary personalities and their works in Resimli Roman Mecmuası to Latin letters.
