Abstract (EN)
Today, societies are entering a rapid change/transformation process with the effect of global policies and technological developments. Within the framework of these developments, identity problems of cities gain weight and uniform urban spaces emerge. Globalization, which changes their living habits and drags them to new structures; separates the identity, culture, and knowledge of the locals from the design process. Historical city centers in the world where living conditions, traditions, and construction techniques are rapidly developing; contain integrity that shows what kind of an environment they lived in in the historical process. To examine a traditional living city, the buildings that are the components of the city and the structural elements of those buildings in their original position and to understand the integrity of the environment; describe the power of the source behind the designed spaces. Historical environments, which we can consider as spaces arranged according to human size, have a structure that positively affects social relations. Traditional textures, which have values belonging to folk art as well as their archaeological, aesthetic, and historical importance, are very instructive in terms of being able to be seen and examined on-site with their original spatial equipment. Architecture, which is one of the efforts of societies to transfer their own values from the past to the future; plays an important role in the continuity of local identity. This process also referred to as cultural sustainability; reflects the process, lifestyle, culture, and value judgments of society from past to present. At this point, traditional residential architectures appear as examples where socio-cultural and physical factors are successfully synthesized. This study, over the samples found in the Mudurnu district of Bolu; It is aimed to examine the effects of urban culture, lifestyle, family structure, livelihoods, traditions, and beliefs on traditional Turkish house interior design. The urban texture of the Mudurnu district of Bolu province has been examined in terms of urban culture and lifestyles; The effect of urban culture and lifestyles on the interior design of traditional Turkish houses in the city was investigated. As a result of these studies, it has been observed that cultural influences shape the organization of space. The idea that the role of cultural influences in the shaping of the space is an important factor for the urban texture and human beings has been defended. It has been emphasized that the cultural norms, which are among the design criteria in traditional buildings, should be considered as a design principle in today's spaces in a real sense.
