Abstract (EN)

In this research Project; problems that have been faced in class management and suggestions for solutions have been targeted. The least and the most faced negative student behaviours and class management strategies applied have been determined. Moreover it has been researched if the negative behaviours and the strategies applied differ according to gender, age and rank. The subject of the research is important because of the education system and the contribution to the relevant literature . A research has been performed including Turkish-language teachers working in secondary schools in Fatih / İstanbul during 2014/2015 education year. Scanning method has been used in research and descriptive statistics methods have been used in commentary. Personal information, teaching specialities, frequency of negative behaviours and class strategies have been in the questionnaire . The scale is of Şen Kulak (2010) At the end of the questionnaire, it has been revealed that the most common negative student behaviour is "playing with cellular phones" and the least common negative student behaviour is "littering in the classroom". It is concluded that the most applied strategy is reminding the students of the classroom rules and the least applied strategy is punishing the whole classroom. No significant evidence has been found of connection between the genders, ages and ranks of the teachers with thw strategies used when faced with negative student behaviours.
