Özet (EN)
In this study, operating in Turkey aimed to measure the performance of private pension fund companies. Gold funds, standard funds, public external debt instruments funds and money market funds of 5 individual pension companies which have been operating continuously between 01.01.2013 and 31.12.2017 and not merged with other pension investment funds and not transferred and liquidated funds have been included. The performance of individual pension funds was assessed by the Sharpe based on standard deviation and the Treynor and Jensen performance indices based on the systematic risk. As a result of our study, it is seen that the risk premiums of the three pension investment funds are positive and the two pension investment funds are negative. According to the Treynor index, the most successful pension investment fund is Allianz Life and Pension, while Sharpe Index is Garanti Pension and Jensen Index is Vakıf Emeklilik. In private pension fund companies, the Public External Debt Instruments Fund and the Gold Fund are the best performing funds, while the stock fund and the money market fund are the worst performers. In addition, the years in which funds are performing best are 2014, 2015, and 2016, while the worst performing years are 2013 and 2015.
