Abstract (EN)

In Atatürk?s period, public education studies were used to spread the revaluations aimed modernization of the society and to explain these revaluations every citizen without any privilege. For this purpose, Millet Mektepleri and Halkevleri were founded to educate villages. The activities concerning education were supported with cultural and artistic reforms. Letter Revolution and History and Language Reform affected both of education system and culture of society. The independence of Turkish language was provided and the position of Turkish society was determined amongnations by using the History and Language Thesis. Atatürk did not believe to improve the Darülfünun, the establishment of higher education remained from the Osmanlı? education system. The university according to modern principles was established to provide the transformation of information from university to society and the production of new information.
