Necessity of educating manager for schools

This research has been made in order to determine the necessity of educating manager for schools and to make some necessary suggestions. Theoretical basics of the research has been formed by scanning domestic and abroad literature.The research questionnary was conducted on 300 teachers who were manager candidates working in Kastamonu central district and in Taşköprü district. These candidates entered to the assistant manager and management examination held by Ministry of National Education on October 1, 2011 and on October 2, 2011. They were selected by random sampling method. Questionnary consists of three parts. The first part is formed by seven questions involving personal informations of teachers. The second part consists of 35 questions for determining the necesstiy of educating manager for schools. And in the third part, the other views were appealed. İn the research, differences between the teachers? views for the necessity of educating manager for the schools were analysed in terms of sex, state of education, professional seniority, establishment and assignment variabilty.The research consists of five parts. The first part is introduction, the second part is therotical knowledges and literature studying , the third part is method of the research ,the fourth part is findings and interpretation, the fifth part is discussions, conclusions and suggestions.The data collected by the questionnary were analysed by using SPSS-16 programme . When analysing data; frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation values were introduced for independent variables. In order to test the differences between the binary variables `? unconnected group t Test?? and `?Irreversible analysis of variance?? were used to test the differences between the variables having poly category. `?Test of Scheffe?? was used to determine the source of the difference. Findings were interpreted by discussing and some suggestions were made.Key words: School managers, Educating manager.
