Abstract (EN)
Postmodernism is a movement of thought that has emerged since Modernism began to lose its influence as a result of the failure of its promises and the failure of its life experience. Although this concept first emerged in the field of art, over time it has spread to all areas of society. In this context, postmodernism has found its place in the academic literature in Turkey as well. In this study, the introduction of postmodernism to our country and its position in literature, sociology, philosophy and history were examined. The concept of postmodernism is a concept that has made its impact in the worlds of thought quite felt. However, it is seen that the studies about this concept in our country are not sufficient in terms of number and quality. With this study, the emergence of postmodernism literature in the Social Sciences was investigated and it was aimed to question the adequacy of this literature in terms of quality and quantity.
