New generation terror: Fighting against the Fethullahist terrorist organization and parallel state structure in Turkey

Fethullahist Terrorist Organization and Parallel State Structure in Turkey (FETO/PDY) are among the global examples of esotericism based secret organizations transforming into international crime organizations using terror as a tool for shaping the political incidents and committing crime in the countries where they are located in terms of sects and congregations They become usable for the intelligence organizations of great powers in international conjuncture in areas such as the target country, the geographical region where the target country is located, the religious ideology represented by the sect and worldwide networks connected to it. FETÖ/PDY, from among these secret organizations, which have become non-state actors of these secret interstate wars and the objectives of which have been defined depending on the conditions of the environment where they exist. Considering the actions carried out by FETO/PDY; it is an international terrorist organization and espionage network when examined in terms of both international definitions and the terror laws defined in the Turkish constitution. The FETÖ/PDY has a structure that shows differences from the known terrorist organizations in many directions. For this reason, classic anti-terrorism methods may not be conclusive alone when fighting with FETÖ/PDY. The aim of this study, which has been prepared in line with this objective, is to analyse the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) in terms of the terrorism discipline, to reveal its characteristics in order to conceptualize the "New Generation Terrorist" organization and to identify the national and international methods to be followed by Turkey for fighting with this terrorist organization. While fighting with the FETO / PDY; the leader of the organization, methods for recruiting followers, form of government, ideology, gaps used for the emergence and organization of it, international connections, targets, actions and organization strategies are addressed and analysed separately from the sociological and religious perspective. FETÖ/PDY has a structure that follows different pathways from classical terrorist organizations and can conceal itself through its crypto structure. The actions of the New Generation Terrorist Organization include using intelligence techniques to move targets out of the field of duty, perception management, black propaganda through strategic communication tools in media, democratic military intervention to change overall management, collective violence such as assassination actions against journalists, instead of creating fear and horror unlike the acts of terrorism. Instead of starting and maintaining violent acts for disturbing the state orientation within society and committing actions that create fear and committing perturbation actions on public with a political motive in order to destroy the moral values that allow the society to stand such as discrimination, separatism which are used by other terrorist organizations (PKK, ETA, PJAK, IRA, ISIL, El Kaide) for achieving their objectives, they prefer locating its followers, training according to the ill opinions and beliefs of the organization to the most critical and important units of the state secretly in order to occupy the state internally. In order to capture the state bureaucracy, human positioning, in other words the infiltration, is one of the basic activities. It is also known as the "Trojan Horse" method of seizing the country from the inside by hiding the secret agenda. It is an armed terrorist organization aiming to establish a theoretical state ruled by sharia law distorted according to its leader Fethullah GÜLEN who had taken people under his control by using religious emotions in order to gain economic power, recruited members to the organization by benefitting from the gaps in the area of education that could not be filled somehow although it was one of the obligations of the state of Turkey, had acted in cooperation with international intelligence organizations and terrorist organizations in line with its objectives and stolen security information of vital importance which constituted the keystones of the Republic of Turkey and shared them with CIA which was the intelligence agency that had established and managed that organization and imposed oppression and violence at the point he felt that he had reached the power for occupying the state through the terrorist actions in line with its objectives. It is reminiscent of the parallel state structure of the Hassassi religious sect, founded in 1090 by Shiite cleric Shiite cleric Hassan bin Sabbah, who make a blockade at Alamut Castle. The FETO organization looks like to the Hashhassians (Assassins) in terms of their solid hierarchical organizational structure and adoption of assassinating their opponents as a military tactic. While the Seljuk government was putting solid steps for becoming a universal state, it was prevented by the Hashhassians (Assassins) . Likewise, the road of Turkey on being a global power has been blocked by FETÖ. When examining the FETÖ / PDY, international links should be examined taking into account the timing and consequences of the actions that they have undertaken. For example, when the coup attempt by the organization dated July 15, 2016 was taken into consideration, The US policies aimed at establishing a Kurdish state within the borders of Iraq and Syria and bringing the Middle East energy to the Mediterranean and controlling the international energy lines on this side, and Iraq and Syria, which Israel sees as a threat to itself, will be weakened by the Kurdish state to be established and therefore it will be at Israel's interest in the Middle East and serve to the interests of the United States in the international arena, should be taken into account. FETO's coup attempt on July 15-16 caused a total struggling against this organization in the country, bringing all political parties on the same line in terms of national integrity and unity, complete independence and the survival of state. Upon the organization and strengthening of this terrorist organization, which has been supported by politicians who have guided the destiny of many countries in the past according to its own political agenda in the democratic environment, the most recent devastating, transforming and outsourcing agenda has been revealed. The thesis examines the ideological thinking, organization form and international activities of Fethullah Gülen congregation, who has been on trial as a terrorist organization from the legal perspective. It will also refer to the strategic fighting methods that the Turkish state has against these activities and its international organization. The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the Fetullahist terrorist organization, organizing model, ideology, understanding of religion, methods of acquiring the followers and international relations to produce counter-thesis, to develop healing projects for the target the human resource, to reduce the base to a marginal level.
