The relationship between seizing the moment and religiosity in adults (Bolu sample)

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between seizing the moment and the level of religiosity in adults. At the same time, it has been examined whether demographic variables have any effect on the result or not. Quantitative research method has been used in the study. As a data collection tool, the "ArrowReligious Attitude Scale" has been used to measure the level of religiosity of the individuals, and the "Seizing the Moment Scale" has been used to measure the level of seizing the moment. Also, a personal information form has been added to the questionnaire consisting of scale items in order to evaluate some demographic variables. The sample of the study consists of 510 adults between the ages of 20-55 who reside in Bolu or have higher education there. The study consists of three main parts. In the first part, there is the conceptual framework. In this section, the definitions of the moment and seizing the moment, the concepts of adulthood, religion and religiosity are included. In the second part, information has been given about the research model, universe, data collection tools and information about data collection. The third part consists of the findings obtained as a result of the research and the evaluations made for them. According to the findings, the level of seizing the moment and the level of religiosity differ according to demographic variables. There is a positive relationship between religiosity and the tendency to seize the moment. As religiosity increases, the level of orientation also increases.
