Abstract (EN)

Imagination is one of the most important elements of poetry. It has an important place in Divan poetry. Imagination, which is an indicator of the poet's skill and style, has brought meaning, depth and harmony to the poems of the poets. Like many poets, the poets who are the subject of our study frequently used dreams in their poems. In our thesis, one of the 16th century poets; Ahdî, Âşık Çelebi, Bâkî, Bağdatlı Rûhî, Behiştî, Cinânî, Emrî, Edirneli Nazmî, Fuzûlî, Hayretî, Hayâlî, İshâk Çelebi, Münîrî, Nev'î, Revânî, Ravzî, Sehi Bey, Usûlî, Taşlıca Yahyâ and Zâtî scanned and the couplets compiled from these divans were examined. Based on the selected sample couplets, the usage patterns, features and qualities of imagination in divan poetry have been revealed. Considering the relevance of the dream with other words, the meaning frame was created and its place in the poem of the century in question was tried to be determined. In this thesis, which aims to determine the elements of dreams and dreams, the elements of which the lover dreams of his beloved, how the dream is handled in different fields, as well as the qualities of the dream and the elements of analogy are examined under different headings.
