Evaluation of the Frequency, Type, Severity, Risk Factors of Urinary Incontinence and Its Impact on the Life Quality of the Women Who Over 18 Years. This study is intended to determine the frequency, type, risk factors of urinary incontinence and its impacts on the life quality of the women who over 18 years. The study is planned as a definitive study, and the women who applied to Yıldırım Beyazıt University Ataturk Training and Research Hospital, Gynecology Polyclinic constitute the population of the study. 150 women who constitute the study sample were chosen by Simple Random Sampling method, and the results of the study were obtained using personal diagnostic form and incontinence quality of life questionnaire. Data of the study were evaluated in computer environment through SPSS 20 package programme. Following distribution of the data while Mann Whitney U Test, Bonferroni-corrected Kruskal Walis H test, Chi-Square. It's found that the discrepancy between the groups was significant when p≤0.05. At the end of the study, it was found that prevalence of the urinary incontinence in the women was 86.7%, and that the mixed type among the incontinence types has the higher rate with 59%. According to study's data; age, pregnancy, parity, body mass index, menopause, birth type, prolapsus, and smoke increase the risk of incontinence (p<0.05). In the evaluation of incontinence features in women; approximately half of the women reported that they have this problem more time, will change their underwear and pads their level and one of every four people in this situation is determined that adversely affected many. At the study, incontinence quality of life questionnaire general average of the questionnaire was 56.7±23.28 (min: 22, max:110). According to analysis of the scale; women's quality of life is not good enough, incontinence duration, quantity and pad use increases the quality of life is determined to fall (p<0.05). In the study, women who had a high prevalence of urinary incontinens problem of the quality of life were affected in a negative way. Therefore; the nurses should know the risk factors of urinary incontinence, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment and careso that they can show the women right direction and recommend them how to be aware of the issue and take necessary precautions themselves.
