Reflection of the hereafter belief on high school students' behaviors

This study aims to investigate the relationship between the belief in the Hereafter and the level of moral indifference in high school students. The study consists of three chapters. First part; In the Qur'an and the hadith, the Hereafter is the theoretical part that focuses on the basic concepts such as the Hereafter, the effect of belief in the Hereafter on human life, and the meaning of the word and term of the Hereafter. Second part; The explanation of the concept of moral indifference includes the psychological reasons for exhibiting unethical behavior and the justification of unethical behavior. Third part; know the study about the general screening model for the problem of the research. In this research, firstly, the interaction between moral behavior and the hereafter is discussed in a conceptual context, and the effect of the belief in the hereafter on the behaviors of young people showing moral indifference is focused on. Therefore, in this study, it is aimed to examine the effects of belief in the Hereafter, which is the main subject of our research, on behaviors. The fourth section which consists of the general survey model; The Hereafter Scale, which aims to examine the impact of the belief in the Hereafter on students' behavior, consists of a personal demographic information form developed by the researcher, the findings, discussion and conclusions obtained from the Scale of Moral Indifference adapted to Turkish in 2018 by Fazilet Yavuz Birben and Hasan Bacanlı. Feelings of value and meaning are important emotions that determine one's view and attitude towards himself, other people, environment, life and death, and affect his relationship with them at a vital level. During the human development periods, the period in which the search for satisfaction with the sense of value and meaning was experienced in the most severe way, the fact that the youth years started with caused the social environment, educational status, parents status of high school students from 506 high school students studying in secondary education institutions in Bursa. , the number of siblings, the number of children in the family, the beliefs of the Hereafter, moral indifferent behaviors were asked questions. The data obtained within the scope of questionnaire, afterlife belief scale and moral indifference scale were interpreted by using frequency, arithmetic mean, cross-table methods and correlation was determined by using correlation technique. The results of the research were generally expressed and recommendations were made in the light of the findings.
