Women's policies during the AK Party government

AK Parti government has taken important steps in the field of women's policies and made various regulations. The main purpose of these policies is to ensure the active participation of women in social, economic and political life and to strengthen women's rights. Within the framework of women's policies, the literacy rate of women has been increased and their access to education opportunities has been facilitated with the arrangements made in the field of education. In addition, employment policies were developed to increase the employability of women and women's employment in the business world was encouraged. In order to increase the political representation of women, amendments were made to the election laws and women were encouraged to assume more active roles in political parties. It was aimed to involve women more in decision-making mechanisms and various quotas were applied to increase women's representation. In addition, important steps have been taken in the fight against violence against women. Legal arrangements have been made to prevent violence against women, to protect victims and to establish an effective legal framework in combating violence, and it is aimed to ensure the safety of women. These regulations in the field of women's policies support women to take a more active role in social and economic life and are considered as important steps towards the protection of women's rights.
