Abstract (EN)
The nutritional analysis of the feed samples to be taken in TMR application shows the true energy and nutritional value of the feed and its comparison with the milk composition obtained from the animals. Consuming this feed is important in order to better understand whether the feed yields the desired result. In particular, the milk urea nitrogen (MUN) level is used as an important indicator in determining possible yield losses in terms of being an indicator of optimal protein consumption of animals. Although the normal MUN value depends on many factors, reported optimum level is between 8-14 mg/dl. This study was carried out in 14 dairy cattle farms those applied TMR in Burdur center and center villages. TMR and milk samples were analyzed for 3 days. Particle sizes of the TMR samples were also examined in Pennstate screen. According to Pennstate results, the difference between the top sieve, middle sieve, bottom sieve and bottom tray was found to be significant (P<0.05) and it was determined as 5.47, 26.44, 41.92 and 6.18, respectively. The differences between the dry matter 91.30%), protein (9.42%), ADF-protein (3.23%), NDF protein (5.94%), ADF (30.87%), crude oil (2.24%), TMR dry matter (51.21%) and pH (5.19) values of the TMR samples were significant (P<0.05). The differences between the NDF and raw ash values were not significant 53.66% and 7.07%, respectively. Dry matter, lactose, crude protein and MUN levels of milk samples were found to be significant (P<0.05). The differences in milk fat percentage (3.48%) and non-fat dry matter percentages (9.24%) were not different. As a result of the research, MUN value of the enterprises was found to be below the optimum level. This may be due to the fact that TMRs contain low crude protein and TMRs have high ADF-protein content.
