Abstract (EN)
This study has firstly mapped the status of appeal in our criminal justice system and also mapped legal remedy regulations in order to identify the position of appeal against the other legal remedies. After mapping, specifically appeal process has been analyzed by following a comparative method between repealed Law of Criminal Procedure and Criminal Procedure Code of which provisions regarding appeal came into force with the operation of Regional Courts of Justice and thereby court of appeal on 20 July 2016. For this analysis, law texts have been interpreted as well as literature review has been made and decision models have been reviewed.
