Abstract (EN)

With the appearance of Covid-19 virus and the call of pandemic by World Health Organization, the world came across with a big problem. Although Covid-19 is a health problem, its effects have been felt in many fields such as social, cultural, political, financial, educational life as well as transportation. The elderly have been foregrounded as the disadvantageous group due to the deadly effect of Covid-19 virus. This study aims to study the effects of the policies applied to the elderly as a consequence of the decisions taken by the authority in the frame of the struggle against pandemic. With this study, a qualitative research method has been followed by a scrutinized analysis of the elderly group affected by the pandemic policies. In this study, with the purpose of understanding the elderly policy in the time of pandemic and its effects on the elderly, data have been collected via semi-structured interview document and content analysis has been done with the data in question. The collected data of the research have been presented under the titles of Socio-Political Effect, Lockdown, Life at Home, Socio-Cultural Effect, Digital Integration, Financial Effect, Inhibitions and Ageism and A Different Outlook on Pandemic.
