Examination of the perception of antisocial behavior and stigmatization perception in obliged employed persons subject to probation measures

Probation measure is an alternative penal execution model that provides all kinds of services, programs and resources that the convict needs for the socialization of the convict in line with the audit and audit plan and which provides the social cohesion of the individual within the conditions and time specified by the court. This study was conducted in order to shed light on the relationship between antisocial behavior traits and stigma perception by observing the psychosocial adjustment processes of 345 probation officers. The questionnaires which were formed by using Antisocial Behavior Scale, General Stigma Perception Scale, Recent Stigma Experiences Scale, Personal Experiences of Exclusion and Discrimination measurement forms and Sociodemographic Data Collection Form were applied by the obliged parties in a face-to-face interview environment based on personal privacy. Statistical analysis of the data IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 software, number, percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis tests and Spearman correlation analysis were used. Non-parametric tests were used for variables that do not show normal distribution. 91.3% of the participants were male and 8.7 % were female. There was no significant difference between sociodemographic characteristics and stigmatization scale scores and antisocial behavior scale scores (p>0,05). This study is an important prediction that will contribute to strengthening the scope of probation which is community based practice of mental health and psychiatric nursing.
