Abstract (EN)
DNS exercises and pilates are two different exercise approaches known to be effective on core stabilization, balance and posture. Dns and pilates exercises are methods that have proven effects on optimizing movement efficiency, coordination, balance and muscle symmetry. For this reason, our study aimed to examine the effects of dns and pilates exercises on dynamic balance, functional performance and core muscle endurance. Thirty healthy female individuals between the ages of 20 and 60 who voluntarily agreed to participate in the study participated in the study. Stabilization exercises were applied to the Pilates group for 40 minutes twice a week for 6 weeks. On the other hand, stabilization exercises were applied to the Dns group for 40 minutes twice a week for 6 weeks. For both groups, face-to-face evaluations were made before and after the 1st session. The 6-minute walking test was used to evaluate the functional performance parameter of individuals. Star Excursion Balance was used for dynamic balance evaluation. Trunk flexion, trunk extension and side bridge tests were used to evaluate core muscle endurance. In terms of functional performance values, it was found that there was no relationship between dns and pilates groups (p>0.05). Considering the dynamic balance and core muscle endurance values, a higher and more significant result was found in the right anteromedial and trunk flexion results in the pilates group than in the dns group (p=0.03). As a result, while dns and pilates methods had similar effects on functional performance, pilates method improved dynamic balance and core muscle endurance more than dns method in some values. In order to obtain statistically significant results, simultaneous, larger sample and longer-term studies are needed in this area.
