Abstract (EN)
Al-Qaeda has opened a new era in history of terrorism with its incidents and structuring strategy. It is clear that Al-Qaeda's effects will continue being one of the problems of humankind in the future, too. States are supposed to form international law rules and constitute international judicial bodies, which are the basis of the struggle to decrease the effect of the terrorism.Through this work, answers for such questions that "Does terrorism stem from any religion? Are Al-Qaeda's militants doing their religious tasks? Is Wahhabism source of terrorism? What does Al-Qaeda aim at from its incidents?" were searched.Lots of organizations, alleging religion as the basis of their acts through the history, were analyzed deeply in order to put aside a neat connection between religion and terrorism. Moreover, Ideologists' claims were compared with verses of Koran and hadiths so as to explain Al-Qaeda's relation with Islam in the terms of Wahhabism Sect.As a result, it is understood that many different groups employed terrorism strategy in the name of monotheism or polytheism in the history. However, when they are studied entirely and profoundly and when the fact that a very minority of the followers of these religions have been in activities of the terrorism is thought, we can come to a conclusion that no religion can be blamed for being a direct source of terrorism. When a so-called linkage between Al-Qaeda and Islam Religion-Wahhabism is analyzed, no definite connection could be found since most of the claims of the organization are in deep contradiction with the verses and hadiths of Islam and the number of Al-Qaeda's members is very low among the supporters of Islam, their number has reached over-billion.Consequently, it is figured out that the organization is not seeking tangible damages, but its aim is to create a war-leading confrontation between the West and Islamic world.
