Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the e-game addiction, social loneliness levels and physical activity levels of university students. Quantitative research method was used in this research. The population of the research consists of university students studying in Ankara. Students of four state universities in Ankara were selected as the population. Within the scope of the research, data obtained from 764 participants were analyzed. To collect data for the study, the UCLA Loneliness Scale, developed by Russel et al. (1978) and adapted into Turkish by Doğan et al. (2011), was used by Craig et al. (2003) and adapted into Turkish by Öztürk (2005) and the Adult Game Addiction Scale developed by Wong and Hodgins (2012) were used. Game Addiction Scale for Adults was administered by the researcher to people who participated voluntarily in the preliminary application, and validity and reliability studies were conducted. As a result of the study, the Game Addiction Scale for Adults was introduced into the domestic literature. As a result of the research, it was found that the physical activity levels of male individuals were higher than female individuals. It was found that male participants' game addiction levels were higher than female participants. It has been observed that as the number of days played increases, individuals' game addiction levels also increase. Decrease in physical activity causes loneliness to increase. It has been determined that game addiction increases as physical activity decreases. It is seen that as the level of game addiction increases, the level of social loneliness decreases.
