Abstract (EN)
This research is conducted with the aim of comparing stress and loneliness level of the children and adolescents after trauma whom parents are divorced and who have lost their parents. Participants are randomly selected, our sample consists of 31 female and 22 male who live in İstanbul in 2015, whose parents are divorced and sample consists 17 female and 36 male, who live in İstanbul in 2015 and who have lost their parents. In total, our sample consists of 106 children and adolescents. In this research, Stress Reaction Scale for children, Ucla Loneliness Scale and Personal information form, prepared by the researcher, were used for collection of data. Regarding the findings of the research, it turns out that children and adolescents who have lost their parents have stress in middle level after the trauma but children and adolescents whom parents are divorced have serious stress level after the trauma. The loneliness level of children and adolescents who have lost their parents and whom parents are divorced turns out to be similar level with each other. The loneliness level of these two groups turns out in middle level. The level of loneliness and stress after trauma is found associated in children and adolescents whom lost either mother and father and whom parents are lost. In these two groups, while the level of loneliness increases, the stress level after trauma also increases. On the one hand, the stress and loneliness level of female children and adolescents whom parents are divorced are found to be higher, on the other hand, the stress and loneliness level of children and adolescent who have lost their parents was not found significant different regarding the gender. Also, this study reveals some significant results between the level of stress and loneliness after trauma and other demographic variables in children and adolescents whom parents are divorced and who have lost their parents. In the part of discussion and comment, these findings are evaluated and interpreted in detail.
