Abstract (EN)
This study aims to introduce Abu'sh-Sheikh, one of the leading hadith scholars and historians of Isfahan, who lived in the 3rd-4th century, and his important book Zikru'l-akran ve rivayatuhum ʿan baʿzihim baʿzan. Since his book is about peer narration, the study also contains information about this subject. Firstly, information about his life, scientific personality and books are given. Then, his important book named Zikru'l-akran wa rivayatuhum ʿan baʿzihim baʿzan is examined. General information about the book, its characteristics, purpose of writing, content, sources and its place in the literature are mentioned. Except the the book of Abu'sh-Sheikh, no book related to peer narration has reached our day and age. In the second part of the study, the importance and history of peer narration and the books written on this subject are mentioned. There are eight reasons for the peer narration: Inability of staying with the prophet all the time, hesitation to ask the prophet, the mukhadrams inability to meet the prophet, the narrators inability to meet the hadith scholar, student's inability to receive all the narrations of his teacher, giving preference to a faqeeh narrator and to the peer who knows the teachers narrations the best and financial situation. In the last part of this study, the identities of the peer narrators are determined and their names are given in the form of a table by determining who received how many narrations from which narrator. While the first table consists of the narrators of the mudabbaj hadiths, the second table consists of the narrators whose hadithes are not mudabbaj. 376 of the 462 narrations mentioned in Zikru'l-akran are mudabbaj hadiths and 86 are peer narrations. Of the 127 narrators mentioned in the book, 61 narrated mudabbaj hadith and 66 narrated rivayet al-akran. In addition, it is seen that peer narration is common especially in the first three generations. Keywords: Abu'sh-Sheikh, Zikru'l-akran and rivayatuhum ʿan baʿzıhim baʿzan, al-hadith al-mudabbaj, peer narration
