The analysis for Erendiz Atasü's stories

Having given works after the era of Republic, this study has been written in order to evoluate our female author, Erendiz Atasü's stories. Erendiz Atasü who stepped into the authorship life with the work named "There Are Also Women" written at the year of 1983. In the following years, she writes the story books "The Curseds, Mourning for Widows, I was Beautiful with Her, Rose Engraved Into Stone, Uçu, The Death of The Fig Trea, The Happiest Moment of the Life, Ruddy Castle" in which she mentions about the woman and society's problem. Having given works also in the novel field, the writer's novel named "The Other Side of The Mountain" which has won lots of prizes, is translated into several languages. Erendiz Atasü, who has won many awards in the field of novel and story, reflects her articles published in various magazines and books into her essays works. "My Writers, My Femininity, My Authorship, My Country, The Sign of The Images, The Concept and The Slogan, At the Grip of Poverty Idea, The Distance Between The Conscious and The Body, While The Years are Passing by: The Life and The Novel, Treating Well to The Attacker" are her works on the essay type. Our thesis study consists of four parts: Introduction, The Life of The Author, her stories and conclusion. The Introduction section contains on overview of women authors who have produced works in the periods after the Republic. In the first part, Erendiz Atasü's family, education, study field, authorship is narrated, and information about her life is given. In the second part, author's studies in the story field have been analyzed in details. In this section, stories are divided into subheadings in terms of the topics they are dealing with. The people who took part in the stories are classified in terms of their characteristics. Then, the places used in the stories, the structure of the stories, the technique of expression is focused on. In terms of the structure each story is evaluated with the titles of perspective, narrative form and style. The scheme and presentation of event report case is reviewed within narrative technique. In this part, in addition to language, expression and style of the stories which are searched one by one, the sources by which the authors nourished the content are also mentioned. In the coclusion part of our thesis, the results got from the whole study are determined. In the direction of these results, the position of the writer in Turkish Literature is tried to be stated.
