Abstract (EN)
This thesis aims to investigate the variety of traditions and rituals of Turkish communities' social lives before being familiar with Islam and to determine their place in today's Turkish social life. During the preparation of the research, we used the available oral history and written references of the time also resources of other languages, and studies on wall paintings and sculptures. In this study, the information determined from the sources has been examined and collected in terms of consistency by the method of content analysis. There are multiple headings for the content evaluation. In the first place, it is preferred to review primary sources. Secondary sources are used to identify diverse perspectives and evaluations. As a result of the study, it is significant that there are common traditions and rituals in all Turkish communities, as well as the existence of different customs emerging from the geography changes or interaction with other cultures. The fact that most of the traditions whose existence was confirmed by historical sources in ancient times still live among some Turkish communities is an indication that the tradition of Turkish communities is quite strong.Simultaneously, the custom of many traditions and rules that are part of the social life of the ancient Turks by the Turkish khans shows that the people and the government are thoroughly committed to these traditions
