Investigation of the knowledge levels of housewife on food safety and nutrition

Although food safety is an indispensable phenomenon for living life, it is increasing its importance day by day. Food safety has to include the basic principles that must be applied to health. Knowing the importance of the most basic information of the food supply chain in terms of human health is of social and universal importance. In this study, the study was conducted by questioning the know ledge of 100 (hundred) housewives living in Beylikdüzü Kalkan street about food safety, the bacteria in food, the points to be considered when choosing food and purchasing products. Within the scope of the study, the data were evaluated on 100 housewives. 32% of consumers think that food poisoning due to contamination with bacteria is very common. It has been determined that 23% of consumers are very worried about artificial colors in foods. It has been determined that 40% of consumers are extremely concerned about bacteria in food. It has been determined that 94% of the people always wash their hands before starting the meal, 44% of them when purchasing a product, it is important for them to damage the nature, and 68% of them are determined that it is very important to be delicious when purchasing a product. It has been determined that 87% of the people look at the organic expression on food packages. Chi-square analysis test was used to analyze the statistics of how reliable the statistical values are in terms of food safety in food sales and consumption places. According to this analysis test, the analyzes of restaurants, 24-hour places and canteens were determined, and no significant relationship was found in the end.
