The issue of non-certainty of naqlī/lafzī evidences in Fakhr al-Din Razi

There are two major claims of science of Kalam -from its foundation to the day- which are fundamentals of its all other sections and arguments in its content: The real essences of things exist in reality and Knowledge of them is verifiable as real even came true. From epistemology to ontology, from sections of theology to sections of sam'iyyat, all topics and problems that science of Kalam deals with it are based on these two claims in their foundation. The ensuring sources of the knowledge for human in these research areas are "the sound senses", "true narrative" and "Reason/Nazar". Which limits of these sources are and which certainty point that they can reach is became a subject matter for researches since early ages. A theory arguing that second of these sources of knowledge/ true narrative cannot give certainty for some reasons is placed in some works of Fahr al-Dîn al-Râzî who is founder for next term of science of Kalam. One of the major arguments of this theory is "when contradiction between proof of Reason and proof of narrative/sam'î happens the certainty that given by proof of narrative disappears because of being of Reason as origin of narrative and the certainty that given by proof of Reason". On the other hand, there are some claims that Râzî thinks negative about certainty that given by Reason/Nazar in metaphysical sections showing reason his expressions in preface of his work named al-Matâlibu'l 'Âliyah. This work aims to analysis -specially to Râzî- these two seen as inadaptable claims which has started a discussion about reliability of some sources of knowledge and so that put scientifical activities of Kalam in trouble and tries to bring light to how must be understood the theory of non-certainty of narrative/sam'î/lafzî proofs where Razî is concerned and also whether can be understood from concerned passages in his work named al-Matâlib the claim that according to Razî, Reason cannot reach to certainty in metaphysical sections.
