Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to investigate the bond strength of cements to ceramicafter aging process. For our study, 240 ceramic sections were used for 20 groups. Each group contain 12 samples for each cement group. Panavia V5, Relyx U200, G-CEM LinkForce, RelyX Veneer and Variolink Esthetic were cemented in these sections obtained from feldspathic ceramics. Each cement group was divided into four groups for thermal cycling. Different cycles of thermal cycling (1750, 3500, 7000) were applied in three groups of these groups. No aging process applied just one group. Shear test was applied to all groups. Then Shear bond strength values were evaluated statistically. (p<0,05) Although shear bond strength values decreased in all groups after aging process, just Panavia V5, RelyX Veneer ve Variolink Esthetic cement groups showed statistically significiant. When the cements were examined in terms of aging times, the difference between cements in the control group and 7000 cycles groups were not statistically significant. Panavia V5 and G-Cem LinkForce, showed higher bond strength values than light cure RelyX Veneer and Variolink Esthetic cement in groups which performed 1750 cycles. (p <0.05) The same results were observed in 3500 cycles application, in addition, RelyX U 200 showed higher bond strength values than RelyX Veneer and Variolink Esthetic cement. (P <0.05) Decrease of the bond strength after aging is related to the water absorption of the bond in the cement ceramic interface. The selection of cements with long-term bond strength after aging will affect clinical success positively.
