Sukuk as financing model, operation and accounting in Turkey

Islamic banking system is a system that emerges from the needs of Muslims and Muslim scientists developed. This system aims to meet the financial needs of the societies with Islamic religious sensitivities and make the capital excluding the financial system join in the financial system due to the reasons of interest without contradicting the rules of Islamic religion including the religious sensitivities of Muslims. In the thesis, the market which is the movement area of sukuk was defined, the Islamic financial institutions interested in the sukuk system or the markets in which the system works were explained, and sukuk was compared with the other finance tools. In the last three chapters of the thesis, sukuk definitions in the world were mentioned and the types of sukuk were explained. The leasing certificates which is the application of Sukuk financing model in Turkey and being accounted of these certificates in terms of the parties were illustrated.
