Abstract (EN)

Considering the interests and needs of children, works are prepared in terms of subject, character, language and expression. In order to encourage the increase of qualified works in terms of the development of children's literature, award ceremonies are held every year in different branches. Gülten Dayıoğlu Foundation for Children's and Youth Literature is one of the organizations that give awards in the field of children's literature. In the research, it is aimed to evaluate the structure-track and intertextuality between the books awarded by the foundation and the works of Gülten Dayıoğlu. Nine children's novels among the books that have been awarded in the "novel" category since 2007 constitute the research material. In the research, document analysis, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The data obtained from the books examined within the scope of the determined research questions were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. The themes and categories determined in accordance with the scientific analysis method were taken as the basis for the examinations. As a result of the examinations, it has been determined that there are some similarities and differences between the award-winning works and the works of Gülten Dayıoğlu. It has been concluded that the structural and content features are similar to each other, the intertextual relations are limited in the works, the novel characters have common features, and there are common elements in the root values included. In addition, it has been seen that the award-winning novels are suitable for the principle of child-friendliness in terms of structural elements and can be used as material in Turkish lessons.
