Abstract (EN)

In this study, which we used semi-structured interview technique, the Arab dialect spoken in Samandag district of Hatay was discussed. The basic features of the Samandag Arab dialect in terms of sound, form and sentence knowledge are described. In the first part of the study of Arab origin living in Samandağ Samandağ and it is given brief information about the history of the Republic of Turkey citizens. In the second part, the study of the Samandag Arabic dialect is made. In the third chapter, text samples and dictionary are given. Today, it is seen that Samandag Arabs talked about the dialect of Syria-Latakia region. As a result of the language interaction, some elements specific to the new Turkish language in terms of voice and form were included in the dialect. In this regard, the Arabic dialect of Samandag, Hatay, is considered as a sub-branch of the Syrian dialect which is composed of elements specific to Turkish.
