Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is the "Christian Doctrine of Salvation." The doctrine of salvation encompasses God's divine nature, His eternal purpose for human salvation, and the divine plan shaped accordingly. This divine design presents a comprehensive theological framework aiming for salvation, which unfolds through linear time within the sacred history of Christianity and ultimately unites in the mystical body of Christ. The research was conducted within the discipline of History of Religions, employing a historical-theological approach; historical, textual, phenomenological, and anthropological methods were utilized together. Primarily, sacred scripture texts and the works of the Church Fathers, alongside classical and modern sources, were examined; data from prominent Western theologians and Turkish academic literature were synthesized. The study aims to reveal the manifestation of God's salvation plan throughout history within the bounds of the Christian belief system. This divine plan, described by Paul as the "mystery of Christ," is grounded in the integrity of the sacred texts. The historical development of the doctrine from the Patristic era through the Middle Ages to the modern period is demonstrated. Based on this historical background, the theological structure of the Christian doctrine of salvation is analyzed; God's salvation plan is systematically evaluated from Christ-centered creation to salvation. Furthermore, the implications of this theological structure on the life of the Christian individual, church practice, and social order are addressed. The concretization of salvation through the sacraments, the positioning of the Church as the mystical body of Christ, and its relationship with moral life are examined within this context.
