The research of the 7th grade elementary school students? mathematics test results in placement test in some variables

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the 7th grade students? mathematics tests results in SBS in some variables.The research has been performed on the students who attend the schools of central towns of Diyarbakir (Yenişehir, Bağlar, Sur, Kayapınar ) in the 2011-2012 educational year. This research has been done in research survey method. The samples of the research has practiced on selected 387 students by the method of random group sample has determined in central towns of Diyarbakir. According to expert opinion as a means of data collection used a questionnaire developed by the researcher. Frequency analysis of the data, as well as the values of the chi-square test was used. The data is analyzed with SPSS 16.0 packaged software.It is determined that, the finding of the research , the elementary school students'; families income level, number of people in home, neighborhood of residence, gender affect their preferences of exam preparations and their mathematics test results of SBS in which they entered in 7th grade statistically..Keywords: Mathematics, Mathematics Achievement, Placement Test
