Ismail Hakki Bursevi's book entitled "Kitab-i 'İzzu'l-Ademiyy" and text

İsmail Hakkî Bursevî has an important position among the scholar, mufassirs, faqihs and sheikhs of the Ottoman period. This thesis has the features of standard analysis-text works. The transcription and examination of Kitâb-ı 'İzzü'l-Âdemiyy, which is of genre waridat (revenues) and was written by İsmail Hakkî Bursevî in as 1135, constitute the main subject of this thesis. The thesis comprises of three chapter. After the introduction section, 17th and 18th centuries and Bursa, where İsmail Hakkî Bursevî was born, are examined in the scholarly, literary, and cultural sense. In the first chapter, a scrutiny of the life, the works, and the cult of the writer is given. Moreover, the definitions of the notion of waridat (revenues) and different meanings assigned by İsmail Hakkî Bursevî to that notion are discussed in this chapter. In the first section of the second chapter, manuscript presentation and the topics handled in Kitâb-ı 'İzzü'l-Âdemiyy are mentioned in order to introduce the work. In the second section of the second chapter, form and harmony features of poetries, quqtations and tropes (mazmuns) used in Kitâb-ı 'İzzü'l-Âdemiyy are provided. In addition, language and style features in poetic and prose and the information about the quranic and historical personalities are mentioned. In the third chapter, the Kitâb-ı 'İzzü'l-Âdemiyy's text with transcription is given. This study aims to unearth the book entitled "Kitâb-ı 'İzzü'l-Âdemiyy", which İsmail Hakkî Bursevî wrote not long before his death. The steps have been taken in this direction to make the study available to anyone.
