Abstract (EN)

As the life support methods in the world are overcome and ecological disaster indicators increase, the way forward is thought to be an economic increase. Globalization is harming the environment due to the increase in resource utilization and rapid growth. Our production and consumption mechanism has completed the natural resource, which cannot be renewed in large amounts since the industrial period. As a result, while ecosystems and living things perish at a dangerous pace, we exploit our own natural resources and generate waste that exceeds the capacity of natural life to restructure itself. The rapidly increasing population, modernization, urbanization, industrialization, the level of education, the rapidly advancing health awareness, the rapid development of medical technologies, etc. As factors increased the interest in the health sector, the need to use the small amount of resources allocated for health effectively and in the desired way has increased its importance. Consequently, based on these data, the implementation of sustainable principles in order to further increase the profitability of health services without compromising on quality caused green hospitals to become important. In the thesis study here, in line with the data obtained, sustainable health structures in Istanbul will be examined within the scope of Leed criteria.
