Abstract (EN)

Kazım Dirik, who took part in the War of Independence, one of the most important battles in Turkish history, has always been with Mustafa Kemal Pasha on his journey to his homeland with the Bandırma Ferry. From the beginning of the National Struggle to the end has worked with all devotion. He undertook important tasks both in the National Struggle and after the declaration of the Republic. One of the most important of these duties during the governorship of Izmir, the star shone and Izmir has known him as the Governor Pasha has brought countless works to the city. Kazım Dirik, the innovative Governor of the modern and young Republic, received the surname "Dirik dolayı for his work and determination. Today, its name is still alive in many streets, streets, schools and parks in İzmir. Governor Kazım Dirik, who won the love of such people, has always kept the relationship with the people at the highest level. Kazim Dirik's work on the governorship of Izmir in this work, his work on Izmir has been given a wide range.
