Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to identify the managerial behaviours in public sector and determine the effect of these behaviours on the motivation.In the research Descriptive Research Model was operated.729 individuals working for public institutions and associations in Tokat Governorship constitute of the environment of the research. A sample was chosen by a simple random sampling method from the determined environment and in the research of 254 sample-size 300 survey sheets were handed out to the units working for Tokat Governorship and 260 survey sheets were handed in as answered.Research data were collected with the help of managerial behaviour inquiry developed by Ekwall and Arvonen (1991). The collected data were analyzed with Anova, t test , Tukey HSD, Tamhane?s T2, Levene Test and Welch Tests.In the result of the research it was determined that managerial behaviours were effective on employee motivation and managerial behaviours were classified as democratic, autoriterian and liberal managerial behaviours and there was a highly strong relation between these behaviour types and motivation.
